Yes, I completely agree here, I'm afraid I'm just using Notion with a bit of CSS customization via CloudFlare, and that's how it works :(

I'll either come up with a hack for this, or once I finish writing the book and gather enough feedback from the community, I'll commission the development of a custom frontend on top of the Notion API (e.g., using react-notion-x).
