๐Ÿ˜ Fastgen โ€“ a no-code backend we deserve

**I once wrote about node-based programming โ€“ it's when you build an application's business logic using visual blocks.

It's a working approach, but you have to solve the same tasks over and over โ€“ authentication, database connection, API setup, and validation.

The guys from Fastgen noticed this and put together a ready-made solution for us โ€“ Authentication + Validation + PostgreSQL + pre-built blocks for API and Cron.

This reminds me of Supabase / Hasura, but with a built-in graphical logic builder.

The guys just started and they only have a cloud version, which is both good (because you can quickly get started and have a server + database out of the box) and bad (because it's 100% vendor lock).

If the topic develops, I'll be waiting for open-source alternatives to appear (most likely, made with n8n.io), and then I'd try it out for some quick project.

Their pricing is such that it's only suitable for some internal system for a couple of cripples.

$750 for 150k action runs, considering that one request can have multiple actions, will bankrupt your startup faster than any AWS.

Yes, yes, undoubtedly, these are just beginner guys (I think they don't even expect anyone to join right now)

    I liked the concept itself

    I'll go feel it
