So, this happened about 4 years ago. By then, I had already quit Megafon, and the last project I was developing was a resource consumption monitoring system in the city of Innopolis.
Suddenly, around Christmas, I received an alarming call from my former colleagues... I picked up the phone, and they were yelling at me: "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!" โ "???" โ "DID YOU LEAVE SOME KIND OF BACKDOOR?! WHY IS OUR INTERFACE COVERED IN SNOW!!!" โ It took me a few minutes to simply comprehend what they were asking me.
And then, damn it, it turns out (fuck, it's so funny) that the developers of Ant.Design from Alibaba, which we used for the UI, put a "feature" into the source code: to dump snow all over the interface for Christmas and change all the headers to "Yo-ho-ho"...
And since it's a really cool library (I had already worked with it a lot by then, and in fact, I was the one who brought it to Megafon), after our project, other projects started using it too...
And all the services (and these were large B2B products) were covered in snow in one day...
According to rumors, some of the security personnel were fired, and the front-end developers were reprimanded and forced to write their own UI library from scratch.
In reality, it was then that I understood how such UI libraries appear and why large companies write their own: one unnoticed minor MR, and your UI is covered in snow... and who said that such a UI couldn't leak user passwords by creating empty pixels? Exactly.
I remembered this because I saw a video from a JS influencer just the other day))

As you can see, it's not just "cool," it's "a lib with a twist" ๐

Whales, as always, of course.
